Converting a website from static pages to WordPress, a content management system (CMS)

The two sites that I manage are the World Wide Foreign Travel Club and My Village Club.  Before migration, the two sites were made up of static pages and are maintained using Web Page Maker. This software was last updated in 2014.

In early 2017, I started a project to convert these websites to a website using Joomla. See my earlier posts for details on that project – GETTING STARTED WITH A JOOMLA WEBSITE.

In 2020, I revisited this project and completed migration of the two websites. The two sites went live on July 2, 2020.

I will post some of my notes on the project as I get time.
